Bio

Daniel-Ryan Spaulding is a world-traveling comedian & writer. He has performed stand-up live in over 50 countries, establishing himself in the European comedy circuit.

He spent over a decade building a profile in numerous countries notably 5 years in Berlin where he developed the web series It’s Berlin! parodying Berlin’s hipster party culture. His first moment of viral fame was with the 2014 video If Gay Guys Said the Shit Straight People Say flipping the script on heteronormativity.

Over the years, his content has been shared by many celebrities, featured on news programs internationally, and garnered him a huge fan base online. He wrote scripts for the 5th season of the German television series Jerks, and was featured on Germany’s popular political comedy program ZDF Magazin Royale with Jan Bohemermann. As a true citizen of the world, he has a diverse connection to many countries raised in Vancouver, Canada, and a dual citizen of Croatia.

He moved to New York City in October 2023 after a year long struggle overcoming obesity. He got sober, lost over 100kg (220lbs) within a year and a half. He documented his health journey and the many surgical procedures that followed. His move coincided with the horrific events of Oct 7th in Israel, and the unhinged Pro-Terrorism movement. He spoke out loudly with several viral videos propelling him into the fight for Western values, and the Jewish / Israeli advocacy world.

His one man show POWER GAY ran Off-Broadway in the autumn & winter of 2023-2024 with over 20 sold-out performances in Manhattan, and toured across Europe in the Summer of 2023. The Special and is now streaming on Youtube.

He has co-hosted an event for the Hostage Family forum at Sundance Film Festival, moderated a panel at the Israeli Embassy’s Pride event in Washington DC, and has been an invited guest at numerous events at the United Nations for the Israel. In the summer of 2024, he was recognised with a community award from Tel Aviv Pride for his efforts.

He is currently writing a book, touring a new live comedy show & doing speaking engagements. His focus lately has been on helping people understand Israel, the Middle East & Antisemitism to protect liberal values in the West — while finally being able to enjoy life as a POWER GAY, of course!

This spring he is a regular Guest-Host Panelist on The Quad filmed in Jerusalem on the JNS network, featured time to time on The Rita Panahi Show on Skynews Australia, and will be touring with stand-up and speaking engagements worldwide.
